Platform Strategy
How the Platforms Work Together
The same post goes out across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn at the same time, five days a week. One piece of content — three platforms. LinkedIn captions will be reviewed and adjusted where needed if the tone or language needs to feel more suited to a professional audience.

Content Production
Monthly Half-Day Filming Plan
Half a day a month is enough to fuel an entire month of video content if the session is planned well. The goal is genuine, human content — not corporate video. The team don't need to perform; they just need to show up as themselves.
What to Capture Each Month
Plan around one job or location per session. Shoot time is approximately 4 hours — flexible to reflect the company calendar and what's happening on the ground that month.
🎬 The Arrival
Engineer pulls up to site. "Today we're installing a new automatic door system for ." Casual, direct to camera. 15–30 seconds.
🔧 The Work in Progress
Hands-on footage — close-ups of installation, fitting, drilling. No talking needed. These perform brilliantly with just music and captions.
✅ The Reveal
The finished install in action — door sliding open, shutter rolling up. The most shareable format. Satisfying, visual, and brand-building.
👤 The Team Moment
"Quick question for [engineer name] — what's the most common mistake people make with roller shutters?" Genuine, unscripted. Creates trust instantly.
💡 The Quick Tip
"One thing you should check on your automatic door every month." Engineer to camera, no jargon. Educational content that gets saved and shared.
📍 The Location Shoutout
If it's a notable site or area — "Today we're in Sheffield" or "This is one of our longest-standing clients." Local content always gets extra engagement.
Posting Schedule
Example Weekly Post Cadence
15 posts per week — 3 on each platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), created, adapted and published daily Monday to Friday. TikTok posts go up whenever video content is available, relevant, and appropriate from the monthly filming day.

The Biggest Challenge
How to Drive Comments, Saves & Shares
💬
Growing Comments
01
End every caption with a direct question. Not "let us know your thoughts" — a specific, easy-to-answer question.
"What's the most annoying door problem you've had at your premises? Tell us below."
02
Gentle controversy. Post an opinion or a myth-busting statement. People respond when they agree or disagree.
"Unpopular opinion: most automatic door breakdowns are completely avoidable. Here's why..."
03
Team-led content always gets more comments. When it's a named person asking a question, people respond to the human, not the brand.
Short Reel: "I'm Adam, I've been fitting roller shutters for 20 years. What do people get wrong?"
04
Reply to every single comment — always. The algorithm rewards comment threads. A replied-to comment counts twice.
🔖
Growing Saves
01
Checklist and guide posts. Content people want to refer back to later is the most saved content on any platform.
"5 signs your roller shutter needs servicing before it fails. Save this." — as a carousel graphic.
02
Ask for the save explicitly. "Save this post for when you need it" in the caption increases save rate significantly.
03
Regulation and compliance summaries. Facilities managers save these because they're genuinely useful references at work.
"What UK law says about automatic door maintenance — and what it means for your business."
04
Seasonal reminder posts. "Bookmark this — your pre-winter building checklist." Time-sensitive utility posts get saved for future reference.
↗️
Growing Shares
01
Tag-a-colleague prompts. "Know a facilities manager who needs to see this? Tag them." Works especially well for compliance and safety content.
02
Relatable problem posts. When something resonates, people share it. Frame pain points your audience recognises.
"You know that feeling when your loading bay door gets stuck open in January..." — light humour, instantly relatable.
03
Proud client moments. When you complete work for a recognisable local business, they often share it themselves — massively expanding your reach. Always tag the client location.
04
Local pride content. "Proud to be a Hull business" content, especially tied to local events or news, consistently gets shared by the local community.
🎯
General Tactics
01
Post consistently at the same times. Platforms reward accounts that keep a predictable rhythm. Audience habits form around consistent posting.
02
Use Instagram Stories for low-effort, high-engagement interaction. Polls, quizzes, and question boxes take 2 minutes and drive strong interaction signals.
03
LinkedIn: comment on others' posts first. 15 minutes a day engaging with posts from facilities managers and local businesses increases your own profile visibility significantly.
04
The human face wins every time. In a sector where most companies post nothing but product shots, any genuine personality stands out dramatically. This is DT Services' biggest competitive advantage on social.
